Now is terrific! I like to have a conversation with you well before the due date to
answer any questions and ask some of my own.
As soon as your baby is born, let your family know first, then contact me immediately
afterwards! That way I can make sure to be available for an 8th day bris.
Since the Jewish day starts the night before, a baby born, for example, on a Tuesday prior to sundown will be scheduled for his bris the following Tuesday. If the baby were born after sundown on Tuesday, the bris will occur the following Wednesday. A bris needs to be performed during daylight hours. Please contact me before anyone buys a plane ticket to attend the celebration.
If there are medical concerns, his bris will be delayed until he receives clearance from his medical team.
Since the anesthesia will last just until the end of the ceremony, please ask your guests to arrive no later than 20 minutes prior to the ceremony start time. That way, he’ll get the full benefit of the lidocaine and be more comfortable.
I do not perform circumcision ceremonies for the messianic community.
